Event highlights

Are you ready to take on the Zero Carbon Building challenge?

Leveraging the successes and lessons learned from buildings certified under the CAGBC Zero Carbon Building Standards (ZCB-Standards), this hands-on workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to use the Standards and their technical resources. Participants will learn and apply in-depth core requirements, guidelines and process for meeting ZCB-Design v3 and ZCB-Performance v2 certifications.

To benefit from the workshop curriculum, participants must have existing, foundational knowledge of key zero-carbon technical concepts, including: embodied carbon, transition planning, calculating the zero-carbon balance and TEDI. The workshop uses existing case studies to deliver hands-on activities that incorporate the ZCB Workbooks, offering practical insights on how to use these tools in the certification process.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to use the technical resources needed to complete project submissions that meet the CAGBC Zero Carbon Building Standards certification requirements.

This workshop is the final requirement to complete CAGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Essentials Micro-Credential.
To meet this requirement, you will need to complete an online quiz  after the workshop with a passing grade of 80 percent.
