Purpose-built rental housing is a growing sector, and critical to solving Canada’s housing affordability challenge.  

This forum will convene leaders across the housing industry with the goal of developing actionable, practical solutions to scale up sustainable rental housing, ensuring that Canada’s future housing stock is not “fast and cheap” but high-quality, energy efficient, resilient and green. You are invited to help us collectively develop solutions which we will share with the wider industry and policymakers to help generate support for sustainable housing investment. 

CAGBC’s recent report, Two Million Green Homes: Canada Needs Quality Affordable Housing showcased how Canada can achieve affordable, attainable and sustainable housing. This forum will continue this work.  

Attendees for the forum will include representatives from:  

- Market-based rental housing and commercial real estate developers 
- Investors, banks and pension funds 
- Non-market rental housing  
- Equipment manufacturers and construction companies 
- Other organizations advancing rental housing solutions
